Coming soon
Our workshop has been unusually quiet this spring. Behind the closed doors something new is taking form, and for once we have decided to speak about it before it is finished. Consider this a note slipped under the door: new work is coming, and it is coming soon.
What we can say
The pieces began the way most of ours do, with a question about light rather than an answer about shape. We drew, we built, we took apart, we drew again. What remains on the bench now is smaller in number than our last collection and slower in making. Some of it is still raw metal. Some of it already glows.
- New forms, worked by hand, in the materials we know best: copper, brass, glass, and the patience each of them asks for.
- A family of pieces that speak to one another — one large, two small, all sharing a single idea of light.
- Light that behaves less like a fixture and more like weather: it moves, it settles, it leaves a trace on the wall.
What happens next
Over the coming weeks we will open the door a little wider. First drawings, then fragments from the bench, then the pieces themselves, shown where they belong — in a dark room, switched on. Nothing here needs a date to be true, but we will give you one soon.
We have learned that we keep secrets badly. So we are keeping this one loudly, for a short while.
Watch this page. The light is already behind the curtain.
