Premium Alpine Eco Resort
Above Salzburg the treeline thins and the light changes. Premium Alpine Eco Resort sits there, a scatter of timber lodges set into the slope, each one opened to the mountains and to the weather. The brief was quiet. Light had to warm the interiors without competing with the snow outside, and it had to survive winters at altitude, where frost and wind test everything.
Wire, brass and the long dark
We began indoors with our Wireform family. Hand-woven aluminium spheres — the Wanderer lamps on their rough iron bases — sit on bedside tables and window seats, where the open weave lets the bulb show through like a small held sun. In the main lodge, the Sunray Chandelier hangs low over the long table: clusters of woven light scattering across the timber, softening the room's height without flattening it.
Where guests step outside, the same wire returns at a larger scale. Wanderer XXL (outdoor) stands along the path between lodges, a metre of woven metal glowing at knee height, marking the route through the dark. Our Golden Lights pieces carry warmth into the spa and the dining room, brass and gold leaf catching the firelight and giving those rooms a deeper tone than pale timber alone would allow. Along the terraces and the entrance drive, More Outdoor fixtures hold the line: low, steady, weather-sealed, bright enough for a safe step and no brighter.
The resort asks for very little from its lighting. Warmth at the table. A path you can follow by glow. Nothing that shouts over the mountain. We built the scheme around that restraint, and it has held through two winters. Light, form, silence — and then the view.
