Garden of Quiet Light
The old town of Porto keeps its own slow rhythm: granite steps, tiled facades, and a courtyard held quietly between them. For this garden we were asked for light that would not disturb that stillness — enough to keep the courtyard open after dusk, never enough to claim it.
Sypha, planted
The Sypha Outdoor series carries the whole garden. Slender stems stand among the planters; glass spheres sit low by the wall and the basin, holding a warm, contained glow. Light stays where the space needs it — on the stone, on the leaves, on the path. Nothing spills upward. Nothing competes with the sky.
Because the fixtures sit close to the ground, shadows grow long and soft. The wall behind them reads as texture rather than surface, and the paving picks up only the faintest sheen. People walk slowly here. That is how we know the light is doing its work: form and space stay legible, the garden stays a garden.
Warm light, low and unhurried. That was the whole brief.
