Design Store
A design store in Utrecht, laid out across a bright ground floor where every object asks to be seen clearly. The room runs deep, with tall windows at one end and lower ceilings toward the back, so the light had to carry the whole space evenly — warm enough to flatter the pieces on the shelves, quiet enough to leave them room to speak.
We spaced the lamps through the store rather than gathering them in one place. Along the display walls the Ledram discs sit close to the ceiling and wash the shelving in soft, indirect light. Over the central tables the Light Stick lines draw a clean horizontal, giving the room its order. In the taller corner we hung the Myriad Light cluster, a scatter of small points like daylight caught in a net.
The Wireform spheres did the harder work. Their woven aluminium holds the light inside and lets it out slowly, so each one glows from within and stands as an object in its own right — a lamp that is also a thing to look at. At the entrance the PostCrissi forms mark the threshold, and the Arbor pieces reach toward the ceiling like branches, drawing the eye up.
A store that changes with the day
Morning light comes in low and the lamps stay quiet. By afternoon the room brightens and the fixtures hold their own. What stays constant is the mood: unhurried, even, generous to everything on show. Light that reveals the work, then steps back.
