Thank you for coming – Light Fair 2025
The crates are packed, the last ring wrapped in paper, the hall given back to its own flat brightness. Light Fair 2025 is over, and before the quiet of the workshop takes us back, we want to say the simplest thing: thank you for coming.
A room made of dimmed light
Fair halls are loud with light. We asked for the opposite. We hung the Aureole rings at staggered heights, let the Corona chandelier pool its gold low over the table, and left the corners in shadow, so each form could appear slowly, the way it does at home in the evening. Visitors stepped in from the aisle and their voices dropped almost at once. That was the plan. Light asks for silence, and people give it gladly.
Four days, many voices
An architect wanted to know how a brushed edge can still look made by hand. A student sketched the Tessera in her notebook while she thought no one was watching. A lighting designer argued with us about warm colour until the closing bell, kindly, and left with two catalogues and one doubt. We answered what we could. The rest we carried back to the bench, which is where the good answers live anyway.
A lamp in a hall is only half a lamp. The other half is the person standing beneath it, deciding to stay.
What we take home: a list of questions we intend to answer, one lamp at a time, and the memory of people slowing down. To everyone who visited our stand, and to everyone who will write to us in the weeks ahead — thank you. Until the next fair. Keep a corner of your evening for soft light.
