Craft
LuminaCraft temporarily suspends production and shipping activities, #stayathome
This week our workshop fell quiet. The hands stopped first: a hammer laid down mid-gesture, a sheet of brass left on the bench with its curve only half-remembered. We cleaned the tools, covered the molds, swept the metal dust into the corners where it glints like fine sand. Then we turned off the lights, one bench at a time, and closed the door behind us.
Until the days grow safer, every LuminaCraft lamp stays where it is. No crates leave the yard, no courier collects a parcel, no order ships half-finished. Some of our pieces were ready to travel. They will wait. Waiting is something a lamp knows how to do — it spends most of its life in the dark, patient for the moment of light.
What the quiet keeps
While we are away, nothing is lost. The copper keeps its warmth. The glass keeps its memory of the flame. The hands keep their craft — they only need a little rest before they remember.
What continues during the pause:
- Drawing. Ideas sketched at a kitchen table, by daylight, slowly.
- Listening. Orders and questions still reach us, and we answer every one of them.
- Preparing. When the benches are uncovered again, every lamp resumes exactly where it stood.
So we ask the same of you: stay home. Let the rooms grow still. Watch how the light moves across one wall through the whole length of an afternoon — it is the oldest exhibition we know, and it asks nothing of you but your attention.
We will switch the light back on. Soon.
