Stella-08
Stella-08 keeps its source out of sight. A shallow aluminium disc floats on the wall, its face deliberately uneven, and the lamp below throws light back into it rather than out into the room. What returns is softer than what left: a wide, slow halo that seems to come from the metal itself.
Made by hand, one leaf at a time
The disc is lined with gold, silver or copper leaf, laid in small pieces so the joins stay visible. Each panel catches differently, which is the whole point — no two discs read the same under light, and the surface keeps changing as you walk past it. The lighting unit hangs beneath on a black iron anvil, plain and heavy, so nothing competes with the glow above.
Two diameters, three finishes, one quiet idea. Light looks better when you cannot see where it begins.
