Pleat 50 / 51 / 52
Pleat is a pendant made from one continuous gesture: a sheet of fibreglass gathered into narrow vertical folds and torn along the lower edge. A lamp sits at the centre, and the light has to work its way out through the pleats. Where the material is dense it keeps the glow to itself; where the fringe runs ragged it lets the light escape in thin blades, and the wall around the shade fills with soft, uneven shadow.
Made by hand, one shade at a time
Every shade is finished by hand. Some stay in natural white; others are lined inside with gold or silver leaf, and the leaf decides the colour of everything that leaves the lamp. It holds differently on each fold, so two shades finished the same way never quite read the same. The rough, paper-like body hangs from a turned metal base — dark, precise, quiet beneath the fringe.
We leave the edge unfinished on purpose. That is where the light begins.
