Nova
Nova began with a gesture. We wanted a small figure for the desk — something that holds light the way a cupped hand holds a flame. The chalk-white ceramic body stands just over half a metre tall; from it rises a slender flexible arm, nickel-plated copper under the hand, that bends and stays wherever you leave it. At its end a removable glass lens gathers the warm 2700K point of light into a direct, quiet circle, and the dimmer on the cord lets the glow fall until it is barely a presence.
Made to be kept
Each ceramic body is formed and finished by hand in our workshop, so the surface carries a slight grain that no two lamps share. The blue wire runs honestly from base to dimmer, and every part — arm, lens, LED module — is made to be replaced on its own, never the lamp as a whole. We think of Nova less as lighting than as an object that outlives us. Light fades. Form remains.
