Lyric Light
Lyric Light begins as a square of white canvas, stretched tight and hung flat against the wall like a painting that has not been painted yet. Light enters from behind, travels sideways through the weave and returns as a soft even glow. The source stays hidden. Only the surface speaks.
Made by hand, in two sizes
We stretch each canvas panel by hand and finish it in 50 × 50 cm or 70 × 70 cm. A mouldable black flex runs along the frame with a small screen over the bulb; once you bend it, it holds, so the beam can be turned a few degrees toward whatever deserves to be read. One watt of warm 2700K light is all the piece asks for. Enough to make the white breathe.
Lyric Light belongs to our Heirloom Objects family, where we make things for the gesture behind them rather than for the object alone. Hang one in a corridor, or two facing each other across a quiet room. Light, held in cloth. Nothing more.
