Dome
A disc that keeps its light
Dome is a single round shade held close to the ceiling. Its light source sits hidden inside the metal disc and throws its glow upward, past the rim. What reaches the room is a soft halo: warm light spread over the ceiling, then returned as ambience. Indirect. Quiet. Generous.
The shade is formed from metal and finished in our workshop, one disc at a time, in gold, silver, copper or white. Polished aluminium and nickel details mark the structure and catch whatever the shade reflects. We first drew this form for a halogen source many years ago; the geometry has stayed, and only the light inside has changed. A dimmable COB LED now holds the centre, keeping the same 2700K warmth while drawing far less power.
Some forms need no reinvention. Only better light.
