Arcana T
Arcana T begins as a pair of discs. The first stays fixed: a disc of alabaster, lit from behind by an LED strip, holding a soft glow close to the stone. The second is brass, and it slides along a track in its base. Move it and the light changes. Cover the stone and the room falls into shade; draw it back and the glow returns in full. Sun and moon, light and dark. Two opposites that exist only in relation to each other, joined in a single gesture.
Hand and material
The structure and every detail are brass, assembled by hand in our workshop. The base is Medea limestone, cut and finished one piece at a time. The diffuser is alabaster, sliced from a single block: no two carry the same vein, so no two lamps are ever quite alike. The plug driver is dimmable, so the light answers the hour. Form gives way. Light remains.
